Rotation 3.2 Spring, Darktide

Bree has started making friends with some of the other kids in the neighborhood. Her current favourite is Andy Coldwater whom she brought home from school. It's too early to tell how they'll get along, but a match between the two families is pretty much expected.

Meanwhile her mother is delivering her two little brothers. Yes, twins again. Who came up with that fertility perk? What a terrible idea.

The good news is that they now have two boys to carry on the family name. Will is holding the first-born, Kyle, and the other one they name Liam.

The delivery goes well, in a manner, but it's too much for poor Bonnie. She had a fear of having another baby, so no wonder two of them sent her around the bend. She's really in a poor state as far as her health goes, and it's not likely to go better with two babies to nurse.

His wife may be depressed, but Will is very pleased with the babies. He's heard about melancholia and how it sometimes naturally follows childbirths, but does it count is she was low before delivery as well?

He tries not to meddle into her moods too much and busies himself with the boys instead. Especially his heir. He constantly comes over to play with Kyle, even if he ends up leaving the baby on the floor.

With so many mouths to feed, Will has turned from fishing to piracy. Some of his loot is too conspicuous to sell, but at least it brightens the place up.

Getting pregnant on the first try does feel more like failure than success. Bonnie is a family sim and she should adore having children--the more the merrier! But for some reason she never feels more alone than when she's surrounded by her babies.

Will, meanwhile, is down at the pub. He has two free days coming up.

I never realized how frightening non-work days were before I started playing this challenge. Hopefully his recent bonuses will be enough to see the family through them, if he doesn't gamble it all away. They have some new beds to buy.

Dottie grows up, surrounded by swarms of flies buzzing around her. What is to become of this young lady? Who'd take a wife or a maid this sloppy?

Looking at the girls next to each other, it looks like Dottie takes after Will, while Bree looks like Bonnie.

The boys also grow up. Kyle is a 7-2-10-6-6 Sagittarius. Shy and active. He inherits the shy and sailor traits from his parents, so I suppose he'll make a shy pirate in the future. He rolls romance/knowledge.

He is as cute as a button, but then most toddlers are.

Liam is a slob like Dottie, and very playful. A 0-7-4-10-7 Libra. His traits are friendly and good sense of humour, and he rolls family/romance.

Way too many romance rolls for this generation, but the boys are otherwise sweet. Even Bonnie has recovered a little from her incident after they were born.

There might be some drama brewing between the sisters as Dottie is the one to bring Andy Coldwater home today.

"Andy, you like me better than Bree, don't you?"

"Ha-ha! Hold your tongue and return the money you stole, filthy pirate!"

"Money? Is that all you care about?"

But it doesn't take him long to tire of Dottie and he goes off to find Bree. Drama? Probably not. Either way I hope Bree finds someone nicer since she's such a mild-mannered girl herself. Poor Dottie might have to settle for whoever will take her.

And never say you can't play favoruties with children. Liam is adorable, but he's also a rascal who keeps the entire household up and fussing over him. Kyle meanwhile is a little angel in comparison. But we'll see how the boys develop as they grow next round.
